How to Make Ghost Leaves Craft for Halloween

Still have a little more decorating to do for Halloween tonight? Try this simple, easy craft that will surely put your house in a ghostly mood! Here's what you'll need:
  • Craft leaves (I found mine at the dollar store)
  • White acrylic paint
  • Paint brushes
  • Black permanent marker (Fine tip)
  • For a Garland: White yarn or string, tape or glue
  • For a poster: Black construction paper and tape

Step 1. Paint the leaves. Do TWO coats. Tip: Make sure you allow the first coat to dry completely before putting on the second coat or the paint will just smear.
Step 2. Allow the pain to dry and then draw ghost faces on them.
For the Garland: Cut out a piece of yarn and tape or glue each leaf on the back 2 inches apart. Hang this in a hallway or around your door!
For the Poster: Glue four ghost leaves onto a sheet a black construction paper. Tip: Don't place them straight up and down, rather place them in different directions as if they are flying. Use the remaining paint from your brush to write a phrase and paint movement lines. Kids can hang it on their door to welcome guests! Spook-tacular!!

Spooky Ghost Suckers

So some of my favorite candies to pass out on Halloween night are suckers. But a really fun way to make them cool is to turn them into little ghosts. Here's what you'll need:
  • Suckers (large and small)
  • Facial Tissue
  • Pipe Cleaners or Twisty ties (you know, the ones you find around the house that tie up garbage bags, bread bags, etc.)
  • Fine-tip Permanent Marker

Step 1. Take a piece of tissue and wrap it around the sucker. Tip: If it's a smaller sucker cut the tissue in half on the diagonal.

Step 2. Take your twisty tie and wrap it around the tissue at the base of the sucker.

Step 3. Take your permanent marker and draw a little face. Tip: Draw gently so you won't tear the tissue.
And there you have it! Clever little ghosts to hand out for Halloween or any party!!

Party Sitters Just Got Crafty!

We spend lots of hours investigating fun ways to keep little ones busy and having fun. Crafts are a great way to do it! And it's even more fun when you don't have to spend a ton of money (as featured on Cincinnati's Fox19 Morning Show for Easter Egg Decorating, Father's Day crafts, and just recently, Halloween crafts). We got such a great response from viewers, we decided to create this blog so that our followers could check out the latest crafts we've got for parents/guardians and their little ones. We'll have steps along with pictures to help you along. Remember our motto is: It doesn't have to be perfect... it just has to be fun!!
